2021 Manufacturing Day

2021 Manufacturing Day

We were very excited to have shared some of our time with students from Effingham County to participate in the 2021 Manufacturing Day.

We joined eight other local Effingham companies including Lake Land College and the Army Recruiting Office. We welcomed students to our facility, discussed what we do, and gave tours of the plant. There were 214 students from Effingham County that participated. We really appreciate this program as it is important for our future, and the future of the community, that these students know the companies located here and the opportunities that are available to them.

In addition to the tours, the students were introduced to a new website, www.ecjobs.org presented by Jeff Fritchtnitch, who is leading the initiative. EC Jobs is being developed by the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce. The website is available to both employers and employees and is designed to connect job seekers with those who are looking to enhance their workforce.

Our very own Jane Summers, Henry Siemer, and Amanda Rieman spent a great deal of time working on the committee that put the Manufacturing Day Program together for the community. Jane Summers and Brent Boehm set up the tours here, and later spoke with the students at the Convention Center in Effingham.
